To ensure the best possible sound quality, hosts should use Direct Connect to run their show. Although dialing-in via phone might be more convenient, our research shows that sound quality matters - listeners are more likely to start and finish listening to high-quality shows.

When you use Direct Connect, make sure you are using the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox. You need a reliable internet connection. We’ve done a few stress tests and know that Direct Connect works if you have 0.78 Mbps (780 kbs) download and .33 Mbps (330 kbs) upload speeds with at least 100ms latency.

To test your connection, you can head to http://www.speedtest.net/ and click “Begin Test”. Compare your test results to our numbers. If you cannot achieve these speeds, feel free to connect with Skype or via phone.

This screencast shows you how to connect to your studio via Direct Connect.
